ICE DEPTH

Finally made it out on "The Rock" for the first time this winter. Beautiful day today, full sun, very little wind, and very few people out. I don't think I had anyone within 2-3 miles of me. Crappies were lighting it up today. Finished with 23 in the pail, and 3 short "eyes". 16 fow, tight to the wood. #2 Swedish Pimple with a minnow head, and dead rod with medium fat-heads. Could not get a bite on Rosie Reds.

Keep a tight line!!!

I use the Fishidy app and when i find a good spot i mark and and just type in the coordinates into google maps to get to the spot next time. The app has contours for most common lakes. It's useful for me at least.

No snow on the lake; it's a glare of ice. Make sure you wear cleats and if using a wheeler, takes a lot to turn.

the latest Navionics app is called Boating HD marine & lakes. Its a one time $10 subscription with a free trial i believe. it is worth every penny of the $10. Ive caught so many fish just because of the app.
