Was out at the railroad bridge for the first time fishing with my youngsters on 091618 and found it to be a nice place albeit only one fish (crappie) to stir some excitement, along with an Osprey swooping down for a catch, a train rolling by, jet fighters flying from Volk field and great weather.  Avoided most of the crazy boaters by being on the water before 10 a.m. that day. Great family time, and I'd be happy to catch even a bunch of sheephead at this point!

If you just want to catch anything that may bite.. Launch at may's point and fish the rail road bridge with bait.. Simple fishing hook and sinker.. Or you can troll from buckhorn south and learn the lake, river bends and timber. Shallow running cranks work good... Next question look a few posts down still green.

Not a fishing report but just looking to see how the lake is doing now that most of the Monsters and Disrespectful pleasure boat children have gone home!  Last time I was out was about 2 to 3 weekends ago and caught so many sheep it was actually kinda fun since I brought the GF with that time it kept her happy lol did get one slot the last evening there but just wanted to get an Idea on how green the lake has been and if its cooling down yet? Thanks for any info and tight lines everyone!

the good thing is that once daytime temperatures drop below 72 degrees pleasure boaters and jet skiiers go to hibernation and fishing actualy gets better then

Somebody is going to get killed.. Most boat were from out of state the jet ski I could not see going to fast even though they were 50 feet from me.
