Wondering if i could walk out from edgewood yet??? Thanks.
How is the ice fishing? I'm usually out on the Madison area lakes, but I'd like to try some new spots and have family in oshkosh as well as Appleton area. Typically I enjoy jogging for panfish and tip ups for pike. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
Used planer boards for sides and flat lines out the back. Both worked well. Ran out of TM battery after 5 hours and had to use the gas main motor. I wonder if even at idle the motor is too loud though and spooks eyes. It’s a 90hp evinrude 4 stroke Etec.
Thanks for the info on ‘bago! I grew up fishing that lake with my grandfather on their cruiser, many find memories.
Pick your days and you are golden. Lots of 14 footers out on good days. 17' could take a lot more, so you should be good if you use your head. Depending on where you are coming from and which way the wind is blowing you can usually pick a calmer side.
Were you using boards or just flat lining them?

Went trolling for the first time ever tonight, as well as my first time fishing butte. Had a blast. Trolling is a lot of fun and a big change from my normal bobbers or casting. Caught quite a few rough fish and white bass. One walleye in the boat, another lost at the boat. Had a hard time finding the walleyes. This lake is definitely interesting, with such shallow water everywhere. Was using crankbaits and probably 4-5’ depth. Will definitely be back, what a beautiful lake. Next time hopefully find more eyes.
Is Winnebago possible to fish with a 17’ boat assuming we stay near shorelines or avoid windy conditions?
