MOON PHASE (56%)
Decided to try browns today. I've only really ice fished out here so I knew what to expect. Snake northern everywhere, most in the low 20's nothing over 23", we probably caught about 14 of them in a couple of hours. Did manage to hook into this 2.4lb 16" LMB. Only bass of the day. The water was very green and all of the weeds are dying out here. Couldn't find a living patch in the 6-8 spots we hit. Couldnt see much further than a foot into the water.

Was out yesterday AM for an hour or so. Could not get hooked up. I kept having the same fish hit my spinner bait. Very hard and quick two thumps. This bite happened multiple times and each time the fish was gone before I could set the hook. Im guessing Pike wasnt hitting hook part of my spinner bait.
Mongo36 - I see the picture your speaking of. Thats crazy to me. Ive been fishing browns for years and never got one. DNR and LL fish stocking both say Smallies have never been stocked. Local people must have dumped a few in. I need to get one on browns now. Its going to be a Jerkbait kind of weekend. LMAO!
