Tons of carp last weekend on Buffalo lake in Montello when I was fishing. That should be open for shooting. Everything else is on that body of water. Water is fairly clear now too. Easy to spot even during the day.

Hey guys I am just wondering if anyone has been shooting on the Winnebago yet this year? Or if anyone has heard anyone shooting fish out there, the spawn is close so it would be great to get out there.

Anyone know where to get rid of fish in Wauk Co? Last year I got into a bunch of 15-30 pounders with limited disposal.

Saw 4 different boats bowfishing the backwaters of the Mississippi this weekend, read the regulations guys!! The season doesn't start till the Saturday NEAREST April 21st, which would be this coming Saturday. That includes everything in between the railroad tracks...

Went probably 5 for 25 last night on the bay. Water clarity was decent but a bit cloudy in some spots. The fish were spread out but there. A beautiful night to be out and there was no wind. The fish were on the edge of the cattails and the water. Some fish were even hiding in the cattails.

ITs as simple as finding warm backwaters or no current areas right now. Walk the banks and find your own fish. There is plenty for all of us. That is the best thing about bow fishing! Good luck! Wisconsin River is a good spot to target as always.

I am a student at the University of WI- Stevens Point. Would anyone be able to offer me some shore fishing spots near the area? I'm pretty new to bowfishing still and would love to go kill some carp. I would really appreciate it.

I totally agree that the carp are going to seek out the warmest waters they can find, although in Green Bay the shallowest/warmest waters are in the south. I would stay in the lower bay and fish around the islands and coves near the mouth of Duck Creek. As the water warms, the fish will spread out more and you'd be hard pressed to go anywhere and not find something to shoot at.
