We are coming up camping next month and was just curious if anyone could give us some info as to where to fish from shore for walleyes or really anything that bites. Lol just looking to fish while we are there and if there are any places to rent a little boat maybe. Pm me if you would like. Thanks and tight lines.

This weekend out on the water was one of the better times I have had in a long time. The largemouth bass were very active with the largest of the weekend being 20". A 18" smallmouth was also caught. I had a 30"+ northern on and brought it to the boat before it shook off (no net Crying ). Note for the first time in all of the years on this lake I spotted 2 decent size white crappie swimming among a school of bluegill.

Have been able to catch plenty of 12-14 inch bass but not anything overly big. Have seen others catch eater size northern. The fish seem to be shallower and are not biting super bight patterns like firetiger.

The bass action this year wasn't the best, with the majority of the bigger fish being caught earlier in the year. However, with over half my time being dedicated to catching northern pike I didn't catch a single northern this year. So my advice for everyone else would be to not target them and if you catch one on a spinner or something else consider yourself lucky.

Overall, this year was very disappointing in terms of big fish. I tried all of the usual hot spots and some random areas with no outstanding success. Mainly 12-14 inch bass and only two 24 inch northern to show for spending half the summer fishing for them, don't know if the warmer than usual water temperature was the main problem or not, I simply hope the fish will become more active next year.

Managed a couple dozen dandy gills off the beds this weekend. Wax worms or thunder bugs the key. Gills were still full of hard spawn and will be a week or two before they are done. Tight lines-Sig

You sure can, and if you don't have a site on the water they have a spot on the beach you can tie up to.
