MOON PHASE (17%)
Waxing Crescent

Fished this weekend and it was pretty slow. Probably due to all the boat traffic. I've gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with the jet skis. While we were fishing roughly 25 yards off the shore line jet skis were flying past us pretty regularly. The worst part of that is from time to time they would come within 20 feet of us. That's no joke. A few times they may have even been closer. And there was no reason for them to be remotely close to us. Very disappointed. Maybe there should be more time spent monitoring the jet skis...   Especially on this particular lake.

Just wondering what travel conditions are like on area lakes. Heading up this weekend, and I'll be deciding where to fish based on if I can get around in a truck. Just wondering if the snow is causing any issues. Thanks!

I am trying to send a pic of my Navionics map, but Lake link is not letting me. If you go out on the boat landing and go straight forward and go left of the roadway. In about 15 feet of water my wife and I had 12 inches of ice. The further I drilled towards the shore, I had about 14 and a half. I will try to send the pic when I get home from work today.

I was on Boot lake on the 29th. Caught and released 6 northern 18 to 20 inches. We had no luck with panfish. I marked a few, with no bites. There were trucks all over. Most of the lakes I fished in the Lakewood/Townsend area for 3 days had 14 to 15 inches of ice, not sure why Boot had 12. I also fished Archibald that week and got nothing. Wheeler was so far the best for northern and panfish, but I had to do a lot of moving. Good luck.

I'm thinking of making a trip up and was seeking some advice. Boot Lake or Archibald? I'm after crappie and panfish. Are people driving on both lakes? Thanks for the help!
