Caught a 2 man limit of gills and a 23" pike in 2 hours roughly, last night they bit on red worms as far as I could cast out from my dock. The deeper the water you fish the bigger the bluegill you will catch. The bite isn't going to last much longer with these cold temps coming in the next few weeks.

Getting limits of gills when I go out biting on plastics, wax worms, red worms, and minnows (get a few perch mixed in too with the occasional crappie). Fished anywhere from the edge of the weeds to 10 yards past the weed edge, bobers were set anywhere from 2 foot to 5 foot, gills are very suspended.
There is a launch fee of $3 and a nice landing. The main channels in the lake are 9-14’ deep but I would consider running somewhere else. Very high weed density, trees, branches and stumps are abundant among other structures scattered in the channels. Great place to troll and fish pan fish, pike, bass, perch but not the best for testing your motor IMHO.
Hey all not a report but more of a question. I don't get out to otter much even though it's closest to me. I got a new boat to me at least...i've never ran it in the water looking to bring it out and do a trial run to see how the motor runs check for problems etc.....I don't remember the dynamics of the lake or how the launch is wondering if anybody can tell me if it's a bad idea to test run here or if there's a better body of water close by might be a better place to "test run" Its not a big boat just an average fishing boat with a 60 on the back. Also anybody tell me if there's a launch fee on the lake.
Weeds are terrible I suggest not even trying to fish unless your going for bass. I am a resident on the lake and I was doing really good on the gills before the weeds formed (End of April to mid May). Now I'm lucky if I get 10 keepers when I go out in the afternoon. Its just not worth the time battling the weeds in my opinion!!
