MOON PHASE (75%)
Waxing Gibbous

ICE DEPTH
4 inches

Got to the cottage today and was able to get some tip ups out. My 8 year old went 2 for 5 on some northern. Fun times. Still use caution ice varies a lot in just a few feet.

Well sounds like it's going to be a little bit yet before we get any tip ups out. Might have to try the Pete out if I come up.

MOON PHASE (25%)
Waxing Crescent

Not a report but, an observation made while driving past for work the last few days.

Driving over the lake on Hwy. 13, the east side was pretty much wide open. Very little ice yesterday. The west side from the bridge looked very shotty going for about 400 yards. If you're looking to fish out here I would find a place further west to get on the ice.

Came over to the cottage this weekend  to try some fishing. Tried to get out on the east side with no luck. Ice is very thin and lots of open spots. Hopefully this week will tightened thing up. Good luck and use caution!

Great to hear that people are out I need a good weekend at the cabin... So whats everyone's theory about this lake last few years I have struggled... pan fish were extremely small and tip up action was slow I don't feel as if the lake is over fished by any means maybe I just havent found em but used to do pretty well when I was younger

Just stay away from the bridge and be careful when you go next to the dam!  The most ice usually accumulates on the northern parts of that lake because of the current that flows (for the most part) in the southern side of the lake.

Not sure on the actual ice depth, but there were several people out on the west side this past weekend.  Still some open water near the bridge as of two days ago. I don't think I'd be brave enough to go on the east side yet.

Has anybody been out or went past the Roche to see ice condtions?

Just wondering what the ice condtions are up on the Roche? I'm thinking about coming up to cottage next weekend and curious if I should bring my fishing gear along.
