Lake Geneva is my home and big Green is my heaven and yes from time to time only full day trips as it’s a ride for me but it’s one I have made thousands of times and loved every one. They were on a hop and drop retrieve and we did find one color that outfished the rest but we only had one and he got it bit off on day one we found a close second ( green gold fleck) and they rocked it day two we also added live bait but we lost the trolling moter had to drift no spot lock

Had a one man on Thursday from 11am till 5pm we stopped for suckers no bait hit lake with big tubes fished 14 to 40 ft bass were biting in 17 to 20 but were out to 50ft in depthfinder. Once we found depth we wanted ( did not take long ) it was a hop and a hit I was outfished he had big at 5lbs and a 19 inch walleye to boot ( released) I made a couple multi fish runs but he held me off. Simply awesome day only ones on water. Back at it at 7.30am till noon he was armed with live bait ( suckers) but started day two with smallmouth on tube I jumped ahead only to get beat by missing to many and his suckers. The trolling moter went down at 9am we did drifts and were able to keep them going but rising wind got to us but hay no one out and bass eating.
Grab yourself a six pack and sit down and read back on this thread as far back as it goes. There is a lot of info there. If you really wanted to shorten your learning curve, you could hire a guide for half a day next winter. Good Luck! Mrt.
I'm looking to try Big Green for the first time this winter. Lakers are on my bucket list. If anyone is willing to share any advice, locations, bait, etc. I'd be thrilled. I have never targeted trout of any kind, so I do 't know how different it is or isn't from other species. Tipups and jigging are options. Thanks in advance!

I really struggled to get on fish out here the last couple of days. I wonder if it is maybe a turn over situation. Thursday fished for bass in all my favorite Fall spots and we only picked up one. Friday I came back with my little guy and shore fished for perch and couldnt find those either. I will try again next week :) Video only has one fish caught sorry!
