Fished again this morning with 8 more walleye from shore.  Line was icing over, so it was cold.

Fished from 4-5:30 tonite with a 17” and 12” caught on jigs with rippleshads.  Had plenty of misses.  Pleasantly surprised at a little success my first time there.

Was out yesterday fishing for walleye. There was some people there but I was the only catching walleye. Small ones biting on minnows. Caught three keeper on 1/8 chartreuse head with white and chartreuse. If I didn't work I would took my kayak out on the lake instead. Also caught 20in+ northern, 3lbs large and couple small crappies. It was good day for me.

I believe the river was restocked with walleye after the fish kill this summer. Virtually all the eyes are undersize. But as Team One said, it can be fun to catch and release

Massive schools of 3 inch bullhead below the dam. It's amazing how quickly SOME fish can recover.

This video I did was one of the main things that caused a lot of awareness on what was going on with the Dam and the Beaver Dam River. I didn't know the reach that it would have when I filmed it but my wife and I have both been featured on Madison and Milwaukee news stations now and I was able to sit down and talk with the Mayor of Beaver Dam.  There are a lot of people we can blame for the fish kill this year and we can get angry at the DNR or the City of Beaver Dam or we can get angry at the construction crews on Cooper Street and I think we are all justified in our anger.  However, the one thing we can do to make sure this doesn't happen again and that the river stays clean and our fish stay healthy is to use this horrible event for awareness and to move forward with positive plans.  So far we are putting together a cleaning crew made up of BD citizens to clean the Dam, river, and parks along the lake, we are also working on a fundraising project to re-stock Beaver Dam Lake, we are also looking into ways to dredge out some of the silt in the river to create larger areas for the fish.  If yu have ideas on how you could help please message me.

My last comment, and then, as someone suggested I will STFU.  The problem with the new, smaller, kinder, gentler, DNR, headed by Kathy Stepp, is the bend-over backward emphasis on negotiation, reconciliation,  and education, with no fines or convictions, whenever a situation like this comes up.

If a fine or penalty is never assessed, and no one is ever held accountable, what is to prevent situations like this from occurring anytime a culvert or bridge on the BD river needs maintenance.  Oops, sorry, too bad, but it had to be done.

My real name,

Kevin Kuzdas
