MOON PHASE (99%)
Waxing Gibbous

If you launch at Lowell you can fish pretty much the whole river.  Last year we did awesome but I have tried several times this year and I am just not producing fish.  I think the high water has the fish all up very close to the dam right now.  I have been getting some good crappies and walleyes along the river but I have had to work pretty hard for them.

This video is pretty lame but it shows so good fish caught and it could be the answer to keeping kids out of my fishing spots LOL! Yes it is a TRUE story.

I launched my boat way down river yesterday and fished a few mile stretch.  I have done this before and just totally crushed the fish!  Yesterday we only picked up a couple of small pike.  I think was just too far up river and the high water is moving fish closer to the dam.  I have been hearing good reports below the dam and with this rain that should bring even more fish.  This vid is a compilation of BD river and another local spot.

MOON PHASE
Full Moon

Me and my boys fished yesterday afternoon and seen a nice 20 inch walleye snagged by the tail.I netted it for the guy and released it as well.A lot of small walleye and a million carp can't even fish without snagging a carp.

Stopped by briefly today. Thousands of small buffalo everywhere below the dam and a bunch of tiny crappie and bluegill must have all got sucked out from above the dam as well. If you were wanting to try to fish anything other than buffalo, I wouldn't bother. Youre going to snag a buffalo pretty much every cast right now.

Does anybody know if the perch or crappies are biting at the Beaver Dam Dam or below. Also are the bigger bullheads biting yet.

Moondoggie,

Less than 75 is low. I find it fishable and best when flows are 200 to 550.

Is the river still low with the right gate open?
