There are fish in both. Not as easily found though. They both are loaded with rocks and logs. I’ve had my 16’ with a 40 on both rivers. If you know rivers and how the channels run it’s not terrible. Lots of time there will be a downed tree or two blocking travel as well.

How navigable are the bark and crawfish rivers (thought I saw a landing just off 26) for a v boat

Is it advisable to fish those areas

Do walleyes move up them to spawn

Is it worth fishing at all

I yak fished there Tuesday evening and nothing was there.  It would be nice if people/fishermen picked up after their mess.  Nice Park.

I attempted to yak fish on the Bark River this morning but was completely discussed by the human filth left behind by previous anglers at Burnt Village. Someone caught 10 bluegills and discarded them right in the middle of the boat landing on the pavement along with whole raw chicken legs, garbage, half filled beverages and dog poop. Fortunately it had to have been fairly recent because it wasn't at full stench yet. Just feet from the mess is a garbage receptacle. Whomever you are you're a disgusting piece of human puke. It embarrasses me to know you're a fellow angler.

Hit several points on the Bark River this morning. Nothing at all to show for it. I realized that I don't get much of anything on the Bark or Milwaukee rivers until mid June of each year. I think the fish don't get up that far from their winter stations until summer. Does anyone else find the same thing?

Fished my usual stretch of the river yesterday. Same result as last time. I caught lots of smallies and some largemouth, but no northerns.

Odd day. I usually catch northerns and largemouth. None of each, but I was catching smallmouth for the first time on this particular stretch. Also, I found a tackle box with lures in it. If someone can verify where they left it and what type of box and the type of lures in it, I will be happy to get it to you.

Jeffrey1,

We were out wading upstream from Genesee Lake Road today hoping to shoot some carp. We only got 2 and didnt see many. Do you have any advice where else to go on the Bark?
