Was up today (Sunday) and fishing was tough but like everything else in life you get what you work for. Fish were okay and weather was great. If you can figure out the safe way to get on the ice will last at least another week. Hint.... don't try to get there from the boat landing as there were some not so safe crossings today.

Was up there this weekend --fished ALlequash on Sat morn---had a mixed bag of perch, and gills---nicer fish--they quit around 9a---fished the south lake---ice was getting real bad---most ice was 15-17 inches and all honeycombed

Anything happening on Allequash yet? It's a long drive up and don't have time for much lake hopping. Any advice from you up north fellas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Fuzzman.

Anyone been on the lake lately? Big side or small? Went in a couple of years ago but bet not this year.

Years ago Ting and I used to fish what we called the lower lake for panfish and did well. Haven't be there for several years as the water got very low and terribly weedy. When the kids were you we would camp out in the wilderness campsite on that lake. I was wondering what it was like now Mrs. Ting

I fished Allequash for 15 years and it is truly one of my favorite lakes. Bass fishing can be great on this lake. Be prepared for anything from walleye to Muskie. Crappies can grow to huge sizes, but keep only as many as you can eat in a meal. Keep the resource plentiful.

Great action lake for many species. Panfish appear down recently but ther are still good numbers of Decent Bluegills, Perch, and some nice Crappies on occasion. Lots of Pike in the 16-24 inch range. The Muskies can be difficult to catch and there are fair numbers but I would not consider it an action or trophy lake. Best fishery is Largemouth Bass with a typical day being 20-60 fish depending on conditions with most fish being 12-16 inches. Two years ago I lost a Bass here that was approaching 8#'s so there is a trophy potential. Even though a lot of people fish it for Walleyes I have never found that they were worth spending a lot of time on here.

This is a good lake, I don't fish it anymore, but about 10 years ago I lost a 50" at the net. I was fishing alone and a novice at the time. Great memory though.
