Batter for fresh water fishIngredients:
Directions:Amount of eggs & crackers can be adjusted to the amount of fish you are cooking. Beat egg{s} in small bowl. Crush saltines in zip lock bag with rolling pin. Wash fish in cold water. {Hint: if fish has been in freezer for some time, soak fish fillets in milk for 5 mins. rinse and then continue with recipe} Dip fillets in egg wash then in cracker crumbs. Fry in preferrably a cast iron pan at med. high heat until brown. Serve. Try it, it's great tasting and inexpensive to make!
