The 2008 GMC Yukon is our vehicle of the week:
The new 2008 GMC Yukon has all the power you would expect from an SUV (you can even put a snow plow on the front) and it can take the new 85 octane Flex Fuel. Built on a truck frame, this SUV is capable of handling off road duties and serious towing. Inside, the design has been upgraded to compete with rivals. I found the third row seating to be useful with the family. Yet the second and third rows can fold down. With them folded down I was able to fit in three float tubes, my rod, waders, and other accessories I needed on a recent TV shoot. I was also impressed with how high I sat in the vehicle. This provided me with great visibility on the highway. For more information or to find a GMC dealer near you, visit www.gmc.com/yukon.

Vehicle of the Week - Scion XB: The Scion XB has been redesigned for 2008, but it has retained many of the important features that made it popular. Built for the budget conscious, glam seeking twenty something, this compact has everything you need, starting with reliability and safety. Add to that plenty of cargo room and a mpg of 22 - 28, and youve got a great little car. Not surprisingly, the XB was just named #2 as the most affordable compact wagon. I got to drive this around for a week and enjoyed the experience very much. I was able to take three children to soccer practice and load my waders and fishing gear in the back for a day trip. (Obviously I had to lay my one piece rods through the rows of seating, but Id have to do that with most cars.) It reminded me a lot of my first car out of school and brought back some good memories. If youd like more information, check out www.scion.com. Also, Scion is usually found at most Toyota dealers, so check out your local dealer for a test drive. WIN! Land Rover LR2! This SUV was SOOO much fun to drive. It was much smaller than I expected and had all the features I could wish for. The first thing I noticed was that it didnt have a traditional key! Instead the key looks like a pack of gun that you stick into the dashboard and then start the vehicle by pressing START. Totally cool. My vehicle had a 3.2 liter inline six-cylinder that was designed to resist dust, mud and water. The fully independent strut-type suspension gives you a softer, more comfortable ride and for those of you who love to go off road, the 8.3 inch ground clearance and all wheel drive is awesome.
