Freshwater - WORM CARE & STORAGE

Containers:
To store caught or bought worms, use Frabill's Habitat Bait Boxes. These containers are constructed of heavy duty foam to maintain cool temperatures (Frabill recommends 40 to 60 degrees) essential for worm survival. Molded-in aerated holes allow a flow of oxygen into the container. Habitat boxes are available in two sizes. The small container (1020) stores up to 8 dozen crawlers. The large container (1050 or 1051) stores 10 to 12 dozen crawlers. The 1051 complete worm care system includes 2 lbs. of Super Gro bedding, a flip top worm box (1025) and Fat & Sassy worm food (1032).

Worm Bedding:
Frabill offers two distinct types of bedding for live bait. You can choose bedding that you simply mix with water or, for added convenience, premixed formulas. Frabill's Super Gro Bedding and Fat & Sassy Bedding both use a cellulous material that is odorless, clean and contains a built-in food source. Super Gro Bedding is available in 1, 2, and 5 lb. bags of dry bedding. Simply mix with non-chlorinated water. Fat & Sassy Worm Bedding is available in 2.5 and 5 lb. boxes and comes pre-mixed so it's ready to go right off the shelf!

Transport Systems:
Keeping your worms healthy and cool while out on the water can be tricky. Frabill's Crawler Cribs offer the perfect solution to maintain a cool and wet environment all day. Soak the fiberboard box in water. Once saturated, the water's evaporation acts like a swamp cooler to keep bedding and bait cool. At the end of the day, transfer worms to a Habitat storage system, allow Crawler Crib to dry and you're ready for your next trip.
