I got my start fishing as a kid with my mom, she and I would sit on the rip-rap tight-line fishing for catfish, we would sit for hours on end just enjoying being together on the river. I kept up my love for fishing until I went into the United States Marine Corps and left for Vietnam. Once home i took up the sport again and haven't looked back. Ive been very lucky learning the trade from some of the best in the state and fish with them every chance I get still.
I've fished in the bass Pro Big Bass Bash and held my own with some excellent fisherman, last year I fished the Okley Big Bass and finished in the upper half of the field.
I have been guiding on and off on lake Taneycomo for trout as well as bass, also on Table Rock Lake; my wife Betty, of 41 years, have just moved to Harry S. Truman lake where I plan on guiding on the Osage River as well as Truman Lake. There are several good lakes near me and I hope to be able to guide on them as well.
