The 2017 Wounded Warriors on the Water event
is put on by Wisconsin Alliance of Bass Tournament Anglers
and benefits Camp Ryan Adams. In the last 4 years, this event has raised nearly $50,000 for charities that benefit our nation's combat-wounded veterans and their families. In addition, we've given over 25 veterans an incredible, on the water experience as they fish in our tournament.
The event is held annually on Pewaukee Lake in southeastern Wisconsin. Pewaukee is famous as a world-class muskie fishery but has quietly gained a reputation as a bass factory, with the winning stringer in past tournaments requiring better than a 4-pound average. This year, the tournament is being held on June 10, 2017 from 6-2pm with a fundraiser with raffles, silent auctions and live music.
Camp Ryan Adams is named in honor of the late Sgt. Ryan Adams, a Rhinelander, WI native, killed in action while serving in Afghanistan on October 2, 2009. Ryan's family and many of those who served with him are involved in the charity and our event. Every year, the charity holds numerous hunting and fishing events where those who served are able to enjoy camaraderie and the joys of the outdoors with others who have been through many of the same things they have.
