We fished clear and deep water early in the morning because I crushed 'em on top water when I pre-fished. Then when the bite slowed. I took them to the other end to keep it honest. Well, it wasn't very honest. So we headed back to the clear end. And I had them throwing finesse Venom Lures stuff out deep.

Report for Mid June:
Water temps were in the low 80s. It rained and stormed most of the weekend. The bass are done spawning. The bluegill are done spawning. The bass were chasing bait. Just like they were the last few years during mid-June. Most bass were caught on mid diving crankbaits. Specifically, the Bomber Model 4A. (I am not a Pro Staffer for Bomber Lures. But the 4A is the one I have the most confidence in.) When fishing the main lake/clearer water the bass were holding deeper. And they hit deep diving Rapala crankbaits and Bomber Model BD7F deep diving crankbaits. When we fished the infeed/shallow/muddy water, we caught them on Bomber Model 4A crankbaits.

I just got in from a guided trip in Southeast Ohio. I met a grandfather and his 8-year old grandson at the Burr Oak State Park Lodge and Conference Center. Naturally, they took advantage of my 20% discount of their lodging. Okay. Now back to the report.
Burr Oak (rare from me) Panfishing Report:
- My clients were both novices. Both the grandfather and the 8-year old. - Today had a North by North East Wind. I had a guide trip scheduled. And I knew the bass bite would be tough even with experienced anglers. So I put 'em on some panfish. - Outdoor temperatures during this cold front/North East wind outing were 50-degrees. - They caught more Bluegill and Warmouth than we could count! - They had to use my Zebco-33s because of their level of experience. - I tied 1/16oz. Kalins ball jigs onto their line about 20-inches under a bobber. And I tipped the jigs with Uncle Josh 2-inch Meat Leeches.
No live bait. I recently acclimated myself to these Uncle Josh Meat Leeches. And I've been whackin' them panfish everytime. While saving money by not having to buy live bait. Cool huh?
