The Almond Reservoir is a man made impoundment located in western Steuben County, northeast of the Village of Almond and west of the City of Hornell. The reservoir was created as part of a flood control project that resulted in a dam on Canacadea Creek. The surrounding landscape consists primarily of forested and lightly developed land.
Almond Lake is approximately 125 sq acres (0.5 sq km) in size with 4 miles (6.0 km) of shoreline.
