Normal day on the water. Caught 4 shad on the first throw then lost the net on the second throw. Even shad were safe from us today. Upside caught a 2 lb catfish on a swimbait at O8. Hopefully better luck today.

Trolled the LT arm of lake. Pulled crawler harnesses and crank baits in 14-22 feet of water. No eyes, but the crappie were willing. Two guys, 14 keepers, about 3 hours.

Was out this morning fishing the G4 area. Trolled crankbaits, had two small walleye, both on Flicker Shad, both still swimming. Nice day to be out, wished the fish were a little more cooperative though.

Well the weather is good lake still 10 feet high fishing a bit slow but they are catching some in the clearer water. I haven't been out for a few days due to a darn pinched nerve and "Doc" wants me to not use it for about 15 days.

Anyone interested in a great open water boat my G3 Advantage 210 is up for sale, 2009 with a 250 4 stroke Yamaha and a 8 hp 4 stroke Yamaha kicker, UHF radio, AM/FM/CD radio and LOTS of storage. Interested send me an email and I'll send pictures and price.

Stay safe, use your life jacket and kill switch!

Don't catch em all leave some for the next guy, practice Catch and Release.

Put in at Truman State Park fished the Osage arm to start but with the Corps drawing water it was too muddy, Moved to the Tebo and found better water conditions, still stained but better. We were throwing shakey heads with 6" robo worms, humdingers and creature baits. Working from the bank out we found fish on the breaks of 70 degree slopes. threw mid depth crank baits paralleling the banks in 6 to 8 feet of water. Natural color crank baits, black or dark purple soft baits. The weather started closing in on us and started raining just as I got the boat on the trailer.

Going to see about hitting it again in the morning if we don't get a big rain.

If you are heading out watch for floaters, buckle your life jacket, hook the kill switch up and have fun.

Got out yesterday, June 1st, with Rick Brown, we went out late morning to see if we could round up some fish. The water on the Osage arm was so muddy I think you could have made mud pies. We fished around KK island and did get bit on some natural color deep cranks fished slow. Moved to Tebow the water was much leaner but still stained, really watch your graph stay in the channel there are tree tops that you can see at normal pool but are out of site with the lake being 10 feet high. We did find fish scattered along the bluff in 20 feet of water. If you head out this week trust your electronics, stay in the channel and you should be OK. That life jacket won't save your life if it's in a compartment, hook the kill switch to yourself... Be safe, no one want to say, "He/she WAS a good fisherman."

Here we go again, pouring down rain thunder and lightning. The forecast is saying rain till Sunday, http://www.weather.com/weather/5day/l/USMO0915:1:US

Osage river is very high and muddy, crossing the lake at Mile Bridge gives you a good picture of the lake level.... HIGH!!

Careful if you go out please buckle that life jacket up and hook the kill switch to it.

The lake is in a real mess still we have had rain near everyday, heavy rain. At 03:00 this morning there was lightning and rain, forecast saying rest of the day could be spot showers. Date: May 27, 2015 Truman Lake Current Elevation: 713.47 Truman Lake Normal Elevation: 706.00 Lake of the Ozarks Lake Current Elevation: 659.72 Generators: 40,000 cfs Spillway Gates: 0 cfs Discharge: 40,000 cfs Air Temperature Morning Reading: 63 Yesterday's High: 79 Low: 63 Water Surface Temperature: 69 Wind Direction: SW Speed: 3 All that said they are still catching some fish up in the clearer water, Pomme arm seems to be somewhat cleaner. The dam area is still muddy and will stay that way until they can shut or slow down the flow through the dam.

Osage River is very high but still seeing boats heading toward the dam from Warsaw launch ramp.

Looks like we'll have on and off spot showers for the remainder of this week, if you can get out make sure you use that life jacket, can't save your life if it's in a compartment, hook that KILL SWITCH to your jacket.

Have a good trip and BE SAFE!

Just got bad news from my VA doctor, seems he's concerned about the nerve in my neck and left shoulder, he's scheduling me to go to the VA hospital to have tests done to see if there is permanent damage done to the nerve. Said NO fishing till they determine if the nerve is damaged or not.
