This was a very good lake back 15 years ago. My last several trips there have been mediocre at best. Way back when I caught a nice 6 LB walleye and a 4 1/2 pound smallie in Nels. We used to catch nice eaters too. Now that they improved the road and build many houses nearby, I am assuming the added pressure to this smaller lake has taken it's toll.
