History & Status of the Fishery
Little Coyote is a 40 acre lake located 4 miles south of Rollins, MN off County #131. Little Coyote does not have a public access across land, however, it may be accessed up Coyote Creek from King Lake. Maximum depth is 15 feet. No previous fish population investigations have been completed on Little Coyote Lake. Fish species identified from the survey include walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, rock bass, white sucker, blacknose shiner, common shiner, mottled sculpin, and johnny darter. Walleye and northern pike were both identified as having good size structure and fast growth rates. Yellow perch size structure was poor and growth rates were slow.
