Tried fishing this lake in late September of '03 and some friends of mine have been trying it off and on for the past 4 - 5 years. Local rumor has it that a huge fish kill happened some years ago (5 or more years ago?) and the lake is having a hard time replenishing itself. We saw one fish in the shallows (bass) and very few on the depth finder while trolling the lake. Not sure what caused the fish kill, but it definitely had a huge effect on this lake. Unless the DNR decide to start stocking this lake again to help get it to where it was 10 years or so ago, I would probably just pass on this lake for the time being.
