History & Status of the Fishery
The lake trout catch in this assessment was above the normal range for lakes of this ecological class, and the number and size of fish caught was similar to the catch in the 1980 survey. Several year classes were represented in the catch, but growth was slow by area standards. Slow lake trout growth was probably the result of the lack of any prey fish species. Even the white sucker in the lake were, for the most part, too large to provide forage.
