History & Status of the Fishery
Fair numbers of lake trout were collected, including fish up to 25 inches. Fish from several year classes were present, but it appeared that natural reproduction might be sporadic. Lake trout growth was about average for the area. A few northern pike were collected, all 25 inches or larger. There did not appear to be much northern pike reproduction in the lake. Burbot were abundant, but mostly too small to interest anglers. Since the lake was last checked in 1983, it appeared that lake trout numbers had increased and northern pike numbers had decreased.
