St. Joe Lake currently has a fish population dominated by small black bullheads, northern pike and several species of panfish. Approximately 25 percent of individual bluegill and hybrid sunfish sampled were over 7.0 inches in length. Growth rate was found to be generally below average for all species present in the sample.

Best kept secret west of the metro....Plenty of fish in this pond! I nickname this pond "Pike Alley". There are tons of pike ready to munch on whatever you have for bait. Pan fish are great too. The large mouth bass come in a variety of sizes and takes skill to catch around the weed beds. There is a mysterious Musky that has yet to surface, but I'll try again this summer! There is no dock, so come prepared in a kayak, canoe, or a boat. FYI the boat landing is very small and you have to park at a near by park after dropping in your boat.
