Waning Gibbous

CONDITIONS
Sunny

AIR TEMP
56° - 60° F

WATER TEMP
51° - 55° F

Got down to the river yesterday.  Handlined up a few fish.  Most were in them 15"-19" range with one at 22".  Was nice to get back on the water after a bit of a dry spell.  This weekend is MN's inland opener.  I won't be out Saturday for the first time in years, but should get out Sunday.  Or maybe I should say I won't be out Saturday morning, but may get out at the cabin Saturday evening.

I thought the same. A buddy of mine was out on Saturday and got 11 saugers. Five over 14" (one at 17) and the rest were around 13". Plastics were working better than minnows. No walleyes, which is kind of all I am hearing so far this year out of pool 4.

I read a report from a day or two ago that said the water temps were 42-43 degrees on pool 4, not sure exactly where. Seems a bit warm to me but at this point all you can do is take their word for it.

The bite was pretty good this fall for saugers down there...Everts resort almost always has their ramps open and sanded..get out there!

Has anyone been fishing near the dam for walleye lately ? Use to fish there a long time ago, wondering if there is still a good bite there. Also can I get my boat in the water.

I would like to try for eyes here this spring. I'm curious if there is a way to tell online what the river flow level is (how fast the current is, how high the water is) . Also if there is something like this  available, what kind of numbers would I be looking for to have a chance at a good bite? thanx
