Fished Centerville Lake. Took a hour and a whole gas tank to find fish. We were fishing 13fow. We caught a nice crappie and a couple nice big perch. There's hundreds, i mean hundreds of small perch that are super aggressive. It's a great lake to take the kids for some action. We had a flag up, but didn't get anything on the end of the line. The lake hasn't produced like last year yet, but I think it's still early. A couple of my buddies fished the night time and did better. More crappies and bigger size perch during the PM.

Centerville Lake is a great place to take the kids. My team and i got to the lake around 10am, and we fished until 2:30pm. Within that time frame, we had 7-9 flags up on tip ups, 2 tip down that were down, and marking fish in every hole we drilled. The fish weren't huge by any means, but if you take the time to sort through the perch, you'll be able to catch a couple keepers. Ice depth is 12in, and seems pretty solid. Another great day catching panfish and pikes.

We were a team of 4. We got to the lake at 6am, drilling tons of holes searching for the crappies. We had no success in finding the crappies; however, we found lots of perch and some sunnies all sizes between 4in to 10in. Once the sun came up, tip ups turned up all day long. We had a blast chasing flags, and catching pan fishing in between each flag. I never seen so many flags up. The ice depth varies, we found ice from 11" up to 15". We had a couple more guys show up around 10am and caught more panfish. The fishing slowed down at noon. My oldest brother heard about how well we were doing, so he went out at night. My oldest and his group limit on 10inch crappies.

Is the boat launch on the west side of the lake (in the park) the only area to access this lake during ice season, or is there another area people get on. Looking to get out tomorrow afternoon with the barometric pressure plummeting to 29.5!

Rip some lips!

I will be soon enough. Lots of people on Peltier but not much on Centerville yet. Peltier was 4-5 on the east side of the lake last week. This week Peltier should be plenty strong to walk and fish. Centerville on the other hand takes a little longer to freeze up due to the pump. I'm sure the shoreline should be walkable, but i'll be out there to check the condition soon enough.

Ever since the DNR treated this lake a couple years ago to kill off mil foil, I think most of the fish also died. You use to see tons of pan fish, bass and pike, but no signs of life now.

Today i was driving past and saw my first couple of people out fishing for gills and crappies in a boat! I can not wait till i can start bass fishing again not just on this lake, but many others around the area! I hope everyone is getting their boats ready, and have the itch to get out on the water like I do! Best of luck out there!

We got on the lake at 7am and stayed till 3pm. I checked the ice conditions as I went and i marked ice from 13" - 15". Here's the fishing report.I stayed away from the villagers and hole hop at 10fow. We mark fish immediately going from 6fow - 12fow. Fish were very finicky only biting once on every new lure i used. Caught some keeper perch, but had to sort through many. Once 10am hit, we moved toward deeper water. at from 12fow - 18fow. We drilled 20 holes, and marked fish on the sonar at 16fow. Same conditions. Fish we're very picky this day, but managed to get a nice fish fry going. In total, we caught over 12 crappies, lots of perch and sunnies. Kept only a couple sunnies, and 2 perch. Great day for fishing.
