Bite was good this past week. We found our walleyes is 19' to 21' of water. Seems like crawlers were better in the morning and leeches in the afternoon. Ran live bait rigs with walker sinkers. Tried trolling and pulling spinners but rigging we as the best for us. Ended up with a 26", a pair of 24" ers, and lots from 18" to 23". Plus we got a 20" smallmouth to boot.

Eastern end of Basswood has been producing walleyes and smallmouth bass using a lindy-rig tipped with a leech in 18 feet of water. Work the humps or shelves near Beaver Island on Bailey Bay of Basswood.
