Hi Bill. Going to be at Brevort this weekend myself. The reef your looking for is on the north east side off Blackpoint Rd. I am looking for the cribs myself. Gps reading would help. I haven't done very well on walleye but the perching has always been good. any help would be nice. [email protected]

Heading back to Brevoort Lake the weekend of August 5, 2005. I'm going to try vertical jigging along the weedbeds and drop-offs. Have done pretty well with Rapalas, but not real large fish. This lake is large, and even on weekends there doesn't seem to be a lot of boat pressure. If you can find the man-made reef and\or the fish "cribs" you'll find a lot of fish. There are two public campgrounds on the lake and I believe that one of them has a boat launch, I use a canoe so I don't need a launch. There is also Little Brevoort Lake right nest to Big Brevoort Lake.

I have fished Brevoort Lake for the last 4 years an average of twice a summer. I have not been there yet this year but I am going this week end. I fish from a canoe with an electric trolling motor. I have had fair success on walleyes with bronze deep diver rapalas. I tend to stick around the shore and look for weed beds. If you find weed beds stick to 'em. I read in a Michigan lakes map book that there are fish cribs scattered around the perimeter of the lake. Also I read that there is a man-made reef on this lake, but with such a small watercraft I haven't been able to really search for it. If anyone else has any suggestions let us all know.
