I'm coming up this weekend, is the river open near Quinnesec flowage? Also, how are the Dirt Roads are they firm enough to drive on without rutting them up? Thanks

Fished for about 3 hours Sunday near Kahtenbach Island. Was making ice while we were there. Not a single panfish caught or spotted. I've heard that same report from several others too, which is a shame because this used to be a fun spot. Ice one pike on the jig-pole (22") and saw a couple others swim through, along with a monster smallie. My buddy and I were the only two people out there!

not a bad year but at least its better then last year. we caught a lot of rock bass, pike, surprisingly perch, and some nice walleye. this year wasn't producing big ones though it was fun to fish but now i think its to late now to catch walleye.

Spent a lot of time out there last weekend, put in at the boat launch on the sturgeon river just before they converge. Bass bite was a little slower than usual, still caught some nice sized smallies and large mouth. Lots of nice northern and a couple wallies. Bite picked up towards the end of the day when casting. Working frogs and buzzbaits in the pockets along shore seemed to do the trick.
