Any advice on shallow trolling the Keweenaw and Huron Bays would be greatly appreciated!

Just looking to bring my kids up and do some trolling/sight seeing!

Good luck everybody and keep your fingers crossed that spring comes!

I actually live in wisconsin but Ashland is a way farther drive for me and I would have to get a motel for the weekend i was hoping to just stay at my cabin

Ducks, My dad said yesterday that the bay froze over. If it stays cold maybe the ice will hold. I'm crossing my fingers too as I'll be there in a month.

Might also be worth a shot if you're willing to travel to try Ashland Wisconsin for trout. A wisconsin first time buyer license is $25 or $10 per day great lakes salmon trout.

Ducks Forever,

You might want to call someone around there for an ice report. My dad lives in L'Anse and hasn't mentioned anything in a while about ice besides my cousins kid open water fishing at the mouth of the river or Rock dock.

I fished the bay for years and I would head off the Red Rocks. Maybe call Indian Country Sports and ask for an ice report. They're throwing distance from the lake so they should know.
