You can pull small crappie, sripers, and bluegills all year long off of small yellow worm lures. If your going with kids or first timers they will love it just stay 15 ft out untill you find a hot spot and the little ones will hit hard for hours. Due to flooding wasn't able to hit it during the spring, but have been told the bass and pike hit better during the spring than the fall. Have pulled northern pike out that were foot and a half and smaller and don't know how much bigger they get. You can also pull foot long bullheads and catfish easily after dark. It is trolling moter/idle engine only and don't be suprized to see 5-10 boats out on a busy weekend and 1-4 during the week. The 3 or 4 fishing jettys are also a popular attraction and can give some good fishing at times.
