Panfish are moving into the fall locations.  We did great the last few days with all clients taking home a cooler of great crappie and bluegills. Ice fishing is on its way.  Contact for a guided day on the ice.  First time offer $100 for a full day!

Lots of potential for great ice fishing opportunities up here on pools 8 and 9.  I am a guide out of New Albin, Iowa.  Last season we had an amazing bite consistently catching good gills and crappies.  For booking info call 608-518-5375 or visit our website www.xtramileoutdoors.com  We are also on Facebook!  Again dates available for this upcoming season!

Born2fish Olearys is a good place to go. Micks and cecils work well. Moon glos with waxworms or ratfinkies with a waxworm. White or purple are good colors. Orange or green work at times also Above the dam in sunfish is good fishing but you need to.fish tje dredge cuts that are out a halfile or more. Withought a locator you would have to look for old holes to know where the cuts are. Big perch are there but you have to keep loving until you find them There is aap at the ramp going into sunfish that may show the dradge cuts. Any of the harbors holld good fish you just cant stand on or use the docks. Hawthorne,Schmidt and the Ice harbor. Good thing about the harbors amd olearys is they are easier to fish without a vexilar. Stop at the Bait Shack and they will have good info for you. Good luck.

i have not ice fished the Mississippi river to much. so I have a few questions. im coming into Dubuque this Wednesday and looking for a decent spot to go out. I have fished O'Leary (I believe that's what its called) next to the dam. how is it there and do people fish above there. driving past it looks like on top there are lily pad's. also if I could get what people are using to better my chances. I don't have a fish finder so im going out blind any information would be great.

Thank you
