Fished Webster the 24th. Great muskie weather. We caught 3 - my friend had a 45" and 42" and I caught a 36". Heard of a 48" being caught also.

Water temps were 56*+ dropping into 55*+ as the day went on. Weeds looked great and fish were shallow.

Wind was really blowin on the main lake. Got there early 6:15 Sunday am, lot was already packed. Fished until 11:30, landed a 38 on a gold bulldawg, 6 other follows and a 4lb Largemouth on a jackpot in the backwaters. Not a bad weekend.

Later Ski First part of report got deleted, fished 3:45-6, landed a 32 in the backwaters, had 2 lazy follows on the main lake.

I have went over to the Marina and laucnhed before. I can't remember if it was free or cost. I think it was free. This type of thing u will find everywhere. I have fished in Wisconsin,Michigan,Indiana, etc. ANd alot of lakes do not have a big area to park your truck and trailer. WHY????? because the lake associations on these lakes do not want big parking areas.

At Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver Ind., the 2nd biggest natural lake in Indiana. That lake association blocked a land owner from using his property for extra parking. His land was across from the public landing.

Indiana lakes may be state owned. But the lake assoc. usually get their way. They have the pull and money to do it with. Lake Maxinkuckee weeds are all but killed out, WHY???? the Lake Assoc. have policticial power. And the DNR turns their backs on use fisherman.....Money talks, we all know that....

Fished Lake Webster this morning with my buddy for the first time to give it a try. We launced the boat at 4:30am, just enough light to not need lights on the boat. The water was murky with TONS of vegetation debris. Almost every cast we had to clean off the hooks. Huge algea bloom going on right now. The weeds are everywhere and the pressure has torn alot of them up. At 5:30am, we lost a musky boatside which appeared to be in the upper 30's. It hit a black/silver dinner bell bucktail. Around 10:00 we caught a 30 incher and right after that had two or three follow to the boat 2 or 3 times, couldn't get them to bite. They seemed on the move and we got a second wind. Then I realized the moon had just set. They shutdown again soon thereafter. All in all, it was a tough lake to fish on this particular day. Alot of pleasure boaters on a 90 degree day with no wind and bluebird skies. The vegetation debris really wore us out by noon. Just thought I'd share, good luck, CPR and tight lines to all. CMH
