Four Lakes Forest Preserve

Not a bad lake if you're looking for decent largemouths. Although in the summer the SE lake is typically covered with thick scum, I find this to be a good thing considering that-that lake is being less pressured. Never hesitate to use a scum frog or moss boss in all that goop. Use spinners for pike which are fairly abundant. fish between the 6's and 8's of the am/pm for best results. Very shallow throughout. Plastics work best for largemouth. Bring kids for pan fish. All in all, decent fishing, but a very "dead or alive" type of lake... Pretty much a coin toss.

If you would like to catch 3" bluegill all day this is your place. I have been fishing these lakes for many years and I must say I have caught quite a bit of decent Bass and Pike, but it is a "one of those days places" Hey doc. Easy on the big words. Graspyerweiney. VERY NICE!!!

This is a forest preserve free to fish for free. However don't bother driving long distances to these tiny ponds. I've caught good fish 2-3 lb largemouth and some northerns, but it is very fished out choked with algae and moss and weeds, that can barely be fished in the summer. If you do head here ice fihsing is good I here and early spring - early summer. Sunset is the best time to throw a spinnerbait but it closes at dark, another negative thing about this place.

There is no fee to fish four lks. it`s a winn. county forest preserve , just need a valid Il. fishing license ,and go by the fishing rules . "please don`t litter"

OK guys let's get it together here. Kevin says there is no fee for fishing and Brandyn says that it costs a few bucks to fish here????? Brandyn, perhaps you were fishing the pond of our ex sherriff Don Graspyerweenie. I know he charges a fee. In my work as a Dr. I need to sort out conflicting information like this in order to properly evaluate the fishery in question. I am planning a report on this small fishery in the near future as soon as I complete my study on the gimballating and oscillating longitudinal and latitudinal corticosteroidal loads of current coming out of the creek flowing into the lakes. There are no fees to fish these lakes.Great for N. Pike with t-ups during winter time.

Nice for bluegill. Fish the beds for largemouth. Cast in the middle with a nightcrawler for catfish or bullhead. Northern in the logs. Also grass carp with a nightcralwer or bread ball. Very nice pond, but very small and lots of people fish here. Cost a few bucks to fish, but worth it if you have kids. clear and you could see pretty much to the bottom.
