A classic eutrophic lake. Do your homework on your species, and it fishes like a book. For a small lake, nice crappies, bass, and pike. I have noticed the gills and perch do not get very large, though. Could be a result of predation by aforementioned three species. Nice lake. As with any body of water, though, do your homework.

Tough little lake to fish. Weed beds and submerged lily beds are there, but so thick they prevent you from getting to the bottom. Hard to find the edge. Watch the north edge of the lake, east of the boat channel as there is a outlet for the creek and it can be thin ice. Public parking lot adjacent to the lake but you need a Village of Grayslake parking sticker or you could get ticketed. No motors allowed on the lake but canoes and rowboats in open water season are allowed.
