This lake is unfishable. Weeds, muck, and Asian Bighead carp have taken over that feed on the swarms of mosquito's and giant sized biting horse flies. Way too many poisonous snakes around it's banks too. Especially near the quick sand pits.
It is torture to try and fish this cesspool.
STAY AWAY!!!! Go to Lake Zurich or Diamond lake instead.

While this lake has a weed issue it is an awesome lake. I have not seen a carp in 10 years of fishing it. It is a dredged lake and could use a re-dredging. The lake is closed to non-members or guests. Don't come out unless you want your car towed.

grew up on this lake.this lake is unbelievable.One time me and 2 family members boated 150 largemouth in one 6 hr outing.All over 1 pound.
