Wish more bank fishing areas were accessible. Lots of thick brush and overhanging branches Making it difficult to fish. Have not successfully caught fish at this Lake. Love Sand Pond which is smaller with a nice picnic area.

This 60+ acre lake in DuPage county now does have a very nice boat launch facility (according to Google map aerial view). I will be stopping-by to check it out.
I was told that this lake is/was the fallout lake for a local landfill, so can't vouch for the quality of the water/fishing.

I go on this lake every couple days or so. If you want to take a kid out to teach fishing, this is a great lake. There are many bluegill to catch from shore. The one side of the lake has an island. It is nice and deep on that side. There are trout, largemouth and crappie. The other side of the lake is foreign to me because my trolling motor cannot get me through the weeds. They are so thick that my depthfinder says it is only 1-2 ft throughout the whole area. There are pockets where there are no weeds, but it is extremely hard to get to those spots. It is almost not worth fighting the weeds. Stay on the side with the island and fish rubber worms along the shoreline. Largemouths are abundant.
