I fished Clinton lake the last two weekends. The lake itself is beautiful, it reminds me of a lakes back in Texas. Tons of standing and fallen timber. My buddy and I caught numbers of largemouth, they lacked in size but was still fun. All fish were caught out of the numerous coves. Bass were chasing shad in the back of the coves. Good Luck!!

Clinton Lake is a good all around lake in an accessible location. I had very good luck there fishing for largemouth, Hybrid Striped Bass, Catfish and Crappie. I had better luck at the west end of the lake, in the numerous wooded coves.
