Fished on the hot arm from 10:30-2:30 AM and caught about 25 fish today, mostly bass with 2 being crappie. Everything was caught on crank baits, rattle traps, and plastics. Plastics were the best for size. The biggest bass was 15", while most of the others were dinks. Mostly on drop offs and points. Was here about 3-4 weeks ago and caught about half the amount of fish.

F.O.C.A.S.tourney today,2nd place! Trophy time! The points put me in 9th place for the year. Big Smile Man, what 1 day will do to a lake! Big difference in activity in the fish. Caught a limit on cranks, spinners and pop r's. Shade in the morning and any wind blown area with grass. Everything we threw was white or shad pattern. Lost 2, but that is fishing. Last tourney for the year. Sad Unofficial we have a champ for the year, way to go Earl! He was my first partner this year. Your welcome! His picture is there in that report from April. As a club we started and ended at Sangchris. Sweet, sweet lake! See ya next April,I hope! Cool

I fished from 7am till noon. 5 fish, all on cranks. Hot arm was over 81 and down at the bridges was 71. The middle boat ramp was 78. Shad were popping everywhere! To bad the damm bass are so full they won't eat my bait! Crying Tourney tomorrow! Sweating

First place today! Caught over 50 fish today. Spinners, tubes, swim baits, frogs, and cranks. Most fish came in less than 5 feet of water. 19 inch was big fish for the tourney. We had a 18 1/2. We had 29lbs, 2nd place had 23. Cool

Weekend of camping and fishing. A little windy at times. The bass were biting well. Topwater all day - buzzbaits in calmer water, frogs in pads, cranks on the deeper points, worms off of the pads. Too many to keep track of, but nothing over 16 inches. One of my favorite lakes in IL. Too bad I was not in a FOCAS Tourney we would have a limit on Friday and Saturday before 10am Happy hawg hunting! Big Smile

Fished this past weekend April 4 and 5. Water temperature was between 57-66 degrees. Averaged 25 bass per day but nothing bigger than maybe 3 lbs. All caught in the typical spawning areas. Maybe the big ones were spawned out. Never did put a pattern together for pre or post spawn.

We put the boat in Sunday morning to find out that the motor wouldn't keep running. Bad gas, I hope! We were stuck in the cove all day. If it was our tourney day we would of had a limit. 2 fish were over the lake limit. My club papers anything over 11 inches. We did catch fish on just about everything. Cranks, spinners, worms, and even the new swim bait made famous by Elite Series Pro Steve Kennedy. Most fish were in 4 to 5 feet of water. Reaction bite was the most common. It also kept us busy in between rain showers.
