Went out at sunset to check the ice. Plenty of ice! We parked at the launch by Granada and went a little West then straight out. 5-8" of ice. Caught a ton of tiny perch and bluegill (more like bait size...) but at least we didn't get skunked! Headed out this morning to see what we can find. Happy fishing and Tight lines!

You need sticker. Thinks it's a 25 dollar ticket if it's worth it.

Last week ice was 4in and sloppy but it should be good this weekend. I'm taking my sled on deep lake sunday. Test drilling sand and miltmore tomorrow

Hey everyone, I live in the neighborhood and am heading out fishing tomorrow. Anyone got info on the ice depth wonder if it's safe to bring a sled? Any fish biting? I've heard rumors of good pike on this lake. Also if anyone has info on miltmore that'd be great too ice depth and fish movement. I'll be sure to post pics and any info I gather from fishing this weekend.

Thanks and tight lines!

Gurneescott, Xido is incorrect in his information. I live in this neighborhood and fish at both lakes to park at launches or parks you are suppose to have a village sticker. I have noticed a substantial amount of checking from lake county police this last season, and at the park new signs have been posted residents only with sticker. Park at your own risk

Gurneescott, you don't need to be a resident. From the boat launch walk out about 200 yards. (There is a path of frozen footsteps which you can follow) On this spot you will see a bunch of iced over holes. There is a spring in this area and a drop off. Plenty of perch.

You need to be a resident of Lake Villa and need a Township Sticker, Then you park at Boat launch just off of Grand Avenue and Granada BLVD.

Where can you park and access this lake for ice fishing? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
