MOON PHASE (81%)
Waning Gibbous
Launched savanna and headed upstream, caught some nice perch in 10 feet off the weed edges in the back water channels, later in the day switched up to bass fishing and it was one after another on the weed edges using a double willow blade white spinnerbait slow rolled, shallow shad crankbaits were worked good as well.  LM Bass were stacked up when you found them.  Off weed points near deeper water.

Lower savanna launch was packed with driftwood but was getting cleaned up.  Upper new launch was usable.  Millers launch was underwater.   Fished upstream out of the main current in a backwater river area and hooked one decent bass and that was all she wrote.  Downstream at plum river was muddy and slow too per another boater I spoke to.

Try fishing at the down river side of the mile marker at the mouth of the Crooked Slough. This is one of the summer haunts for the walleye.

Docks are not yet in at savanna launch or palisades.  Water temps in the back waters are pushing into the low 80’s.  The main river channel is 70.    Gnats were ridiculous with this heat.  Tons of minnows in the backwaters with most about an inch long.

With the high water is it worth trying to panfish the backwaters off spring lake/big slough this weekend or is it too high and muddy?

Thanks in advance

Started fishing at 6 a.m. . Off the water at 4 p.m. . Got my limit of walleye and sauger. Largest one was 19 and 3/4 smallest one was 17 in. The bite was tough. Nice day for fishing though..   Tight lines to all.

Fished Pool 13 on 4/12/2018.

I was trolling crankbaits using a River 3 way rig. I caught several Walleye, in 3 hours. Here's a photo of one of the fish I caught.
