Very nice bigfish are you fishing with everyone else I see or was this by the dam?

Got out on Wednesday and hooked into a few Jumbo's. Had to work for them but they are fun when you get one on. Biggest perch was just shy of 14 inches.
Went out yesterday but no Jumbo's. Biggest perch yesterday was just shy of 12 inches. Did find some nice gills Yesterday though.
Had to catch lots of smaller perch before finding the big ones.
Ice was still in pretty good shape and I'm guessing it will be nice and solid again as of today......F.P.??

Past experience is the crappies go deep in schools in the day then come in to shallows at dusk. Blue Gills on this lake flock to structure. So if you find structure, you find the gills. That’s why the cribs that were added 12 years ago generally will have shacks all over them, then get overfished. There is other good structure outside of the cribs. Having a camera helps. Perch are all over.
Just my opinion

Have been out a couple times over the last couple weeks had some luck with nice sized bluegills and small perch. Just curious after reading some reports, do people not fish for bluegills much here seems like a lot of perch fishing. Is there something to do with that or do you guys just rather catch perch. Sorry, just trying to learn something. Thanks for the feed back.
As always stay safe, stay on top.

Was out yesterday. I'm not one to sit and catch little perch but that's all I found. Worked lots of water and drilled 30 or so holes. Only marked one fish that was off the bottom and that was a nice Gill.
Otherwise I caught perch in every hole off the bottom. Nothing worth keeping. The ice was plenty thick everywhere I fished.
Worked from boat landing across from small beach to Tamerack bay and then the road bed....F.P.
