I fished this lake with my kayak for the first time. I was out for about 3 1/2 hours. I'd always heard it used to be a decent lake back when my father worked near there 15 years ago. Fishing was horrible considering the conditions. I caught several small bluegills on the south end of the lake along brush piles and hang downs using either a bobber and worm or a road runner with a minnow. I was expecting a few crappie as well, but they never showed. I also did some casting with a spinnerbait and an xrap. I got one small bass from that. I paddled quite a way around the lake and only marked one fish on my locator in 6ft of water. I wish it was better since its so close to home, but I will probably not be back unless I hear otherwise.

Went fishing by the rocks on the Northeast part of the lake about 4:30 PM. Caught 1 Largemouth fishing about 15 feet off shore on the bottom with crawlers. The bass had been recently stocked for the kid's tournament. Was released with no problem. Big Smile

Fished by the pavilion off the walkway by the rocks (near the bridge. There were lots of little stripers. Used crawlers on small hooks. Smile Smile

Went fishing by the rocks on the northeast side of the lake from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Water was turbid and weedy. Caught a couple of stripers and a pumpkinseed. All were pretty small, but it was fun anyway. Talked to a couple of other fishermen there and their story was pretty much the same.

Cold today and not much luck. Fished the southwest corner of the lake but only got a few nibbles. Maybe it will pick up later in the week.

Went fishing for the first time this year at Lake Sedgewick. The water was turbid and most fishermen reported little or no luck. Caught 1 largemouth bass and one pumpkinseed sunfish on the west side of the lake about 5:30 P.M. Only one boat on the water, and not many people fishing.
