The water temp last Saturday was in the upper 50's late in the day and the boat ramps are open 24/7/365.

Anyone have a lake conditions on Evergreen Lake? Water Temp? Anyone know what time the boat ramp open also?

Report is from Saturday...april 16th..Started around 830....launch was busy....once we motored around we found several areas to explore without crowds....50/50 jigs with tails vs. live bait....not really schooled up yet...but the ones we found were active....should get better as the season rolls along now....water was a little stained but not muddy...saw the same group as last season battling in the campground...wild stuff...sorry no pic's this trip

Daddyd- It is not so much that we are tight-lipped on these two lakes. I don't think most people know about this great website. These lakes have their own separate reports. I always report where I catch my crappie, what depth I find them, and what jigs I'm using. Look for my reports and you will be one of the ones coming in with crappie. Smile

bkulsch, If you can't catch crappies on either of these lakes, or any lake in central to southern Illinois this weekend you might want to sell all your fishing equipment and take up a different hobby.

only fished evergreen a few times, but did pretty good for crappies in shallow water. about 4-5 ft. w/minnows under a slip bobber. around any fallen wood along bank. haven't fished bloomington yet, but would like to try it. if you go there report back. everyone pretty tight lipped on these lakes. hope this helps
