MOON PHASE (99%)
Waxing Gibbous
Fished shallow for a few hours before dark.  The panfish bite was good.  Some sorting but managed some nice crappies 11"-13".  Gulp under a float.

Jimmy and I fished 11/26, on at 9 off 3:30. Headed to channel to break ice then pistakee for a few strippers and a crappie.  Headed back to channel around 12, 90% of ice gone, and caught over 100 once we figured out locations and technique.  Kept 25, fish tacos were great

Fished yesterday with a friend.  Day started off with a dead battery on boat.  Quick trip to Walmart and fixed.  We each caught one eye  17/18.5".  Also one big white at 14".  Wind was brutal for most of the day.  We jigged 25' to 4'.   Was good to get out but action slow for us.  We stayed with Minnows all day.  Also had some 3 ways out with flies on them.

Fished a well known channel on Pistakee on Friday and Sunday afternoon.  Water temps around 38 - 40.  Some large chunks of ice were around but melted later in the day.  Lots of crappie and bluegill on small jigs and plastic under a bobber.  Waxies worked better than minnows.  It was a very light bite and the fish went by in schools and they didn't stay in one spot too long.  Be careful, the water level is very low in several spots.  I marked a few schools of fish deep in Pistakee Bay but the wind made boat control difficult and tough to fish.

Beautiful day on the Chain!

Got out w the boys from 9:30am to 3pm.

We had to brake the ice first in some of the channels before we could fish. Ice was 1/4”-3/8” thick. Ran the boat up and down the channel a few times to get open water. We broke the ice for a few ppl that were trying to shore fish.

This was the latest we got out on soft water fishing from the boat.

Felt like spring & the fish cooperated. We got almost a full bucket of panfish mixed w whites & some largies.

Fished water from 3’-6’ deep, bobber set at 2’. Minnows & plastics did the job w plastics catching more fish.

Once again, we enjoyed God’s magnificent creation!

Have a great end of the soft water season & a safe hard water season! God bless u all!
