the best answer you can get is to contact the Fox Lake waterways dept in Fox Lake.  You know, they are the people who do your boat permits there.

My partner Matt has been on a great local bass bite and typically stays on the bass all season. For those interested in bass fishing or getting into tournament fishing Matt is one of the best bass fisherman I have encountered.

Walleye fishing has really picked up in the past week or so. Jig and crawler has been very good for us mixed in with some trolling small cranks like #5 flicker shads or Vexan Wasps. Between myself and my partners Lincoln and Andy, we have been on a good pattern for numbers and size. The next month or so should be good if we can keep consistent weather patterns. Muskies have been eating too and are pretty much done with spawn.

Partly Sunny

Was out for about 5 hours yesterday afternoon.  We jigged and trolled with very little to show.  One legal eye and one short.  We did catch a few crappies over 13" trolling shad raps.  Very slow but a nice afternoon to be out.  We jigged from 3'-15' and trolled the same depths.  All fish were released.  Did not see much of anything caught.  To all the bow fisherman/fisherwomen go out and get those carp.  They were all over in very big pods on the north lakes.

Is it legal for lake front property owners to use weed killer in the lake? seems like a lot of dead fish in the shallows and lots of green pea soup colored waters..

Spent about 5 hours on Marie yesterday. Started in 6 feet nothing, moved t 10-12 same result. Tried 20 area and got a big carp. Breeze slowed and was able to drift. Finally got a walleye in 4 feet of water over sand on jig and crawler. Nothing on minnows or trolling.

Anybody willing to share a flathead hole or two? Obviously I know the bridges hold some but I'd like to find a few more places to hit when I go out. Everyone talks ab a wreck but I've never found it.

MOON PHASE
Last Quarter

Sunday was the second leg our season and the bite was strong.  41 teams entered and 24 teams returned with full limits.  The walleyes in the system are on the transition from their spawning grounds to their summer patterns and these transition areas are where you will find fish.  In the lakes it can be difficult to pin down areas holding good numbers of fish.  You will likely have to move around to put together a limit of fish until the weeds come in and things stabilize for the summer.  As the weather improves, so will the fishing, but the bite is pretty good right now.  Good luck out there!
