Launched at Ben Watts on Pistakee. As reported it’s very shallow. Lots of shad, bluegill, crappie, perch, and a few small pike near Bay bridge. Caught a few after spooking the school a few times. Tried trolling flicker shads in shallow flats. No takers. Headed to T-Channel. Huge shad fish kill there. Very stinky. Caught a few crappie in the deeper side. Went to the river and trolled flicker shads again. Nada. Hit the carpenters channel for a few more crappie before heading in. Water temps 43-48 in spots. All crappie on jig, plastic, and minnows under a bobber.

Long time reader, 1st time poster. Went out from the State Park launch at 8:30 AM. The water is soo low you can only use the 3rd spot (it's an "out" spot, but it's the only one possible). The water level where the river hits Grass lake is under 2 feet. My 14 ft Lund churned mud for quite some time. Went to Catherine, Channel, Marie, and Bluff. Only marked fish in Marie. Finally caught 2 cats (one around 5 lbs.) on a dead stick with half a crawler suspended 8ft. Be Careful! Water is LOW!

Tried a channel off fox lake by bay rd. Only saw shad. Tried by state park launch. Lots of 2 Inch gills.
Couple others got some bass and one pike.
Hey Fellas,
First time Fox Lake fisher. I was wondering if anyone could offer advice on where some good bank fishing is? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Got out yesterday to enjoy the best weather day of the week. Targeted channels deep enough to get into as water levels are historically low. Bait or color didn’t matter as they were stacked and aggressive.
To say we did good is a gross understatement. Caught well over 200 Fish and supringly most were perch. Nice to see the chain booming with the yellow bandits this year.
Yes most lakes are okay to navigate. Connecting channels can be very low just be careful

Got out for a few hours & hit my usual spots.
Fish were waiting for me but LOTS of dinks. Between them, some nice crappies, whites, yellows, largies & my favorites: the perch FULL of eggs.
Favorite colors were pink, orange yellow & some green.
Weather was beautiful w no wind...I prefer some wind & clouds but I take the sun now.
Saw other fishermen & everyone was catching fish which was good to see.
The Fox water system is a great fishery; we just need to respect it & most important, preserve it so we can all enjoy it.
Don’t forget, get out w your family & enjoy God’s creation! PTC
If I only stay on the northern lakes, I should be fine and if it is to shallow even with my 90 trimmed up I can always run my kicker or trolling motor
As long as u can trim ur motor up some u should be fine
