Was on Marie today started around noon. fished Muskie for a few hours. Had something drag my sucker across the back of the boat 20 feet, then swam back at the boat, then started away again so I engaged the reel and set the hook. Came up with air. Later dragged a sucker and start vertical jigging a thin fin. Ran into about 10 drum (2 over 4 pounds) and a half dozen white bass. Nice day out, few boats and weather turned out pretty nice for a drift.

The Northwood sailed on Lake Marie Saturday and Sunday mornings. Action was fairly good, though we had to work for all our fish. Concentrated on 8 fow to 17 fow, using blade baits, drop shots and mini-mites. Drop shots nailed the crappies. Thinfishers worked the best for the stripers and sheep. Mini-mites tipped with a minnow and a split were good for yellow stripers. We never found any walleyes roaming around. Lots of boat traffic as the morning went by. Tight lines ! IC

Was out on the chain today. Lake Marie, Bluff, Channel and Catherine. Caught some stripers and some catfish and large mouth. Tried to raise the big one's had a couple followers but no takers and then all the power boats came out. The water was really dirty also. But it was a beautiful day out on the water and it was productive.
