Went Wednesday Apr 25 from around 11 am to 4 pm. Crappie are in pre spawn all over the lake. I fished several coves in the main lake and brought back a limit. I probably caught 50 to get the 15. Most were males just under 9 inches. I caught some on small minnows, and most on black and Chartreuse curltail baits tipped with Crappie bites. Some were shallow, and some were 8 to 10 feet in a school. All were caught in coves. The sun was brightly shining which warmed the surface several degrees thru the afternoon. A cool front is coming in soon, so things could change.

I'm planning a trip down to Clinton Lake from Wisconsin with my father at the end of the month. Unfortunately, we will be shore fishing since we do not have a boat. Any chance someone can give me some advice on a decent location to target crappie from shore. Feel free to message me if you have any information. Thanks in advance!

Those bass on the towel looks to be undersized. However, hit Clinton last Wednesday and tore up the crappies. We had a 3 man limit in 2 hrs. All fish came on jigs fishing flooded brush in 7-8fow. Biggest was 14in. Caught well over 100 fish in 4hrs of fishing.

Fished Saturday and Sunday. Got a late start Saturday but picked up one LMB 5.9lbs and a couple 12" on chrome and blue strikeking red eye shad. Sunday started around 10am and first fish was a 5.7lbs LMB on blue shad strikeking Lil Mr money spinner bait. Also a 3.8lbs and 2.4lbs LMB on strikeking bitsybug black/blue. A handful of dinks on the chrome/blue red eye shad. Lost 3 right at shore and missed a handful of bites. All fish caught in the state park. Water is high but not too dirty. I tried other locations but if I wasn't in the wind, I wasn't get bites. All fish CPR'd
